One of those camera novelties that Apple takes out year after year was the Cinema modewhich allowed to record videos in a much more professional way, thought precisely for that, to capture shots as if they were a movie. However, I had a problem.
And this mode was only available in the official app, not being freely use in third -party applications, which forced us to use the iPhone native if we wanted to record in this way, thus limiting, thus, options that other camera apps could give us and that Apple does not include.
New camera applications for iPhone: with cinema mode
Apple presented cinema mode with iOS 15, and is available from iPhone 13 onwards. This mode, inspired by Hollywood's cinematographic style, allows you to record videos with a deduced background and make automatic approach changes between different subjects.
However, if we want to change any parameter, we will only have available those that the Apple Native Chamber He offers us, since, as we said, other applications that we usually use, with more resources, did not have this way, because the company itself did not free it for everyone. Something that will change.
And apparently, from now on, Other developers can make use of itmodifying it to your liking, and offering very professional tools, without having to resort only to what Apple wants to give us.
The film mode uses a technique known as “Rack Focus”, which allows to gently change the focus of one subject to another. To achieve this effect, the focus on the main subject is maintained while the background is blurred, creating a feeling of depth. If a new subject appears on the scene or the camera moves to another point, the mode automatically adjusts the approach to the new subject and returns to the background.
It is true that, from iOS 17, Apple allows third -party applications not only to reproduce, but also edit videos recorded in cinema mode. However, it was necessary to record the videos using the Apple Chamber app, something that, from now on, will not be needed, and that will avoid that need to edit these later, since we can record them directly with those desired parameters, saving time.
For now, the developers will take time to incorporate all this, however, now at least, it is already possible, so we will see some apps with a cinema recording option, soon, especially those of payment, because there are some very popular and that many professionals use, which are sure that they are already getting to the work to incorporate this option that Apple allows them, because they do not always have a possibility, since the Tim Cook's company is quite closed, and they can spend years for this time, and they can spend years for a year So they will be very excited.
And you, do you think it was necessary? Will you give you something in your day to day, or are you one of those who have not even tried this mode of recording? Leave us a comment with your opinion and experience.
