We tried it for the first time in its first betas, and we thought it was amazing, although it needed to be polished a little, since it was not completely accurate, but hey, it was a beta, we couldn’t expect more from it, just as long as it worked we could already classified as a success, however, months later, it remains the same, or even worse.

As we said, this is a feature of iOS 18, which works with all devices that have been able to update to this version, however, regardless of which one you use, the result will be very similar, and we already told you that it is not good.
We have carried out tests with an iPhone 13 Pro and with an iPhone 15, and in both cases, although it ends up working and you can control your iPhone with your eyesit is too complicated, and if you try to point at a specific place between two buttons, for example, it will become an impossible task, and, therefore, you will not achieve an optimal result, being something that, designed for people without mobility, can be interesting, but it still doesn’t work as it should, since you end up needing to tap with your finger to go back, restart the settings, or get out of a screen that has no other way to do it than with a button or the touch screen.
Therefore, despite being a very good idea, it has not turned out as Apple expected, and since the first beta of iOS 18, the tool has not been modified, so we have not seen the precision improvements that we expected, and we will have to wait. At least it’s patented, and it’s possible that in iOS 19 or a future phone with better front sensors, we’ll actually get something professional and functional, but for now it’s a simple tool that offers us nothingWell, as we said, no more than 2 minutes will pass without us having to use our finger, so for leisure or “magic” it’s cool, but for a person who really needs it, no.
iOS 18.1 is close to being released, and with it many Apple Intelligence functions, which could change many things, however, and because this function does not require it either, We don’t think it’s going to get better.and if they really do something with it, it will be in the coming years.
