The moment could not be more paradoxical. Just when a new report points out that OnePlus could be closing operations in several global markets —including Europe and the United States— while its business in China would continue unchanged, the company enthusiastically announces its next mid-range. Whether these are the brand's last serious bets outside its domestic market or simply rumors that will dissipate like those in January is something that is not yet clear: for now, OnePlus Europe ensures that its operations continue normally and that after-sales service and software updates are fully guaranteed.
What does not admit of doubt is the OnePlus Nord 6. OnePlus India has confirmed the presentation date —April 7— and has revealed its most striking specifications, starting with its battery 9,000 mAhthe first of this capability on a OnePlus device with global distribution.
A mid-range with flagship muscle
Beyond the battery, the Nord 6 arrives with clear ambitions. I would ride a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4a processor capable of running demanding games at 165 fps, which implies a screen with a refresh rate of 165Hzthus matching the flagships OnePlus 15 and 15R. The exact size of the panel has not yet been announced, although it is expected to be over 6.7 inches.
The design recovers the square camera module of the OnePlus 15, with three visible cutouts, and will arrive in three colors: mint green, black and silver — the latter with a striking line pattern on the edges. As for the price, the leaks point to 449 euros in Europea competitive figure for what it offers.
The Nord 6 will be a solid and ambitious device for its segment, with specifications rarely seen at this price. The unknown is not technical: it is whether it will reach all the markets where it is announced, or if the possible withdrawal of OnePlus will end up leaving the European users without it sooner than planned.
