Like every year, Apple brings us together in June at its developer conference, where it will present the new operating system for both the iPhone (iOS) and other products, such as the Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, etc. These conferences usually have very approximate dates year after year, allowing us to discover things like what we’re going to see today.

And we’re all eager to try iOS 19, and although it won’t be officially released until September, its public beta can be installed before then, although we don’t recommend doing so if you don’t have a replacement phone, as doing so on your main phone is dangerous.

Date of the first beta of iOS 19

If we go back to previous years, we can see a fairly similar calendar, and Apple, as we said, usually has very specific dates, and except for very specific errors, they do not deviate from them, so, without being able to say the exact day, we can guess when we will have iOS 19.

iOS 17 was available on July 12, iOS 16 on July 11, and, last of all, iOS 18, we were able to test it on July 16, that is, with the WWDC conference on June 10, that is, one day later than in 2024, so everything points to the fact that we could be talking about, to bet a few days, between July 14 and 16, 2025, being from Monday to Wednesday, the time when Apple usually launches more things.

WWDC 2025

From that point on, we’ll continue to see public betas until the end of August, when the RC (final version) will be released. We’ll wait until the iPhones are released in mid-September to officially publish it.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see, as we still have a lot to learn about iOS 19. From which phones will be compatible to what we’ll actually see in this version, which is rumored to include many changes, something we haven’t seen in over a decade. However, this sounds like something already mentioned last year, so we’re not going to get our hopes up, and we’ll see if it actually happens or not.

We’ll see what happens with those at the top of the list, since Apple offered them iOS 18 when they were already doubtful about making it onto this list, so receiving iOS 19, even though rumors indicate it, is complicated, and we’re not at all sure they’ll support it, although we’ll find out soon.

And you, are you looking forward to this new version of iOS, or do you think it’ll be like all the others? For my part, I don’t want to get my hopes up, and I won’t comment much until we see it, although I think it’ll have more hype than we’ll actually see.
