If you are an Apple user, you may not only have a Mac, but also an iPhone, so you don't have a phone Androidwhich you may not miss. However, sometimes, we need to download an application that is only for this system, or we even look for a second phone to have two WhatsApp or several other apps.
Well, even though Mac It belongs to the same company as the iPhone, and has nothing to do with Android, there are free and very simple emulators that will allow us to have one on our computer, fully functional and in just a few minutes, so let's see it.
Use Android on a MacBook
To use an emulator, we will only have to install it, like any other application, and once opened, it will begin to run as if we turned on a phone, having to configure it later with our Google account, downloading the apps in the PlayStore, etc., however, we will already be inside that Android, and we will be able to perform any type of action.
In our case, we recommend BlueStacks, since it is simple, free, and has plenty of compatibility with macOS. It is possible that there are more, and even some better, but we are going to see this one, since it is the one we know and it works for us.
How to install and start BlueStacks
- Download BlueStacks from here.
- Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag the icon BlueStacks to the folder Applications.
- Open BlueStacks from Applications. If a warning appears, click Open.
- Sign in with your account Google in the Google Play Store within BlueStacks.
- Download and use the Android applications you want.
It is a very simple process, and although many people look for tutorials for it, it will be as easy as installing Google Chrome, Spotify, or any other program, so don't worry, it won't be tedious.
What can I do with an Android emulator
There are a thousand things we can do with an emulator on a PC that we couldn't do on a mobile, so we are going to give you some, although I'm sure you can think of others.
- Play mobile games on a larger screen: you won't have to play that game you like on your iPhone, but you can use your Mac for it, which, many times, is not available for computers.
- Use applications such as social networks, messaging and productivity: having two WhatsApps on one mobile phone is not easy, but this way you can work with a different number, for example.
- Test and develop apps If you are a programmer: if you don't want to ruin your Android or fill it with test apks, it is a way to emulate it on other devices than your personal one.
- Multitask between several Android applications: on a phone it is difficult to use several apps at the same time, something that changes if we use an emulator, and, above all, a larger screen that allows it.
And you, what other uses do you think this emulator has? Why were you looking to install one? Leave us a comment.
