While Elon Musk recently hit the headlines by organizing a drawing awarding a million dollars per day to a signatory of a petition in support of the first and second amendments, now Microsoft is in turn offering to win this same sum. There is no question of the American elections here, but rather of encouraging Internet users to migrate to Bing and Microsoft Edge.

A big Microsoft competition to win 1 million dollars!

Via its Rewards program, Microsoft is organizing a large draw for which it is possible to multiply entries, namely no less than 200 “tickets” per person. Depending on the actions carried out by the Internet user, the latter will collect valuable tickets.

Installing the Microsoft Rewards extension allows you to store ten rewards, for example. By installing Bing on your smartphone, you pocket 5 more, the same if you download Microsoft Defender on your smartphone. Note that purchasing points (at least 1,100) for Call of Duty Warzone on Xbox also allows you to collect 5 additional tickets, as does adding money to a Microsoft account of a family member.

A million dollar draw. Enter for a chance to win the ultimate contest: 1 lucky winner receives $1,000,000 and 10 winners receive $10,000” can we read on the official Bing page. For Microsoft, it is therefore a question of highlighting Bing, but also a very large part of its catalog, even if it sometimes means offering somewhat surprising activities.

New activities are also published every week, and in addition to the possibility of winning tickets by sharing the competition link with friends, Microsoft is also promising $5 to UNICEF and the WWF for each member of the program with more than 50 tickets. Please note that the competition set up by Microsoft requires each participant to register their last name, first name, postal address and telephone number.

Remember that for several months now, this Google competitor has equipped itself with a chatbot called Bing Chat (which later became Copilot), and which uses ChatGPT technology. For Microsoft, it is therefore a question of encouraging as many people as possible to test its Bing search engine, and if possible, of retaining as many curious people as possible.
