Blizzard is celebrating Halloween* with the spooky Hallow’s End update to Warcraft Rumble, where players can earn in-game candy to unlock awesome rewards. This update introduces the fearsome Headless Horseman and new giant bats (Dire Batlings) to the game.
Trick or treat?
If you missed its debut a year ago, Warcraft Rumble is an action and strategy mobile game in which figurines from the famous universe launched in 1994 come to life for real-time team battles. Whether you embark on the ambitious single-player campaign or intense player-to-player duels, you’ll lead your army of iconic Warcraft characters, such as Jaina Proudmoore and Grommash Hellscream, across Azeroth’s diverse maps and bosses. The production is superb, although deliberately shifted to please as many people as possible on mobile.
Update 9.36 offers several new features including new cosmetics, including Hallow’s End portraits and a Kobold skin. The Headless Horseman joins your ranks with his Pumpkin Throw attack, dealing 140 damage and 2 stacks of poison. He also has powerful talents like Decapitate, which grants Bloodlust for 5 seconds when killing an enemy. The Night Watch talent allows him to stay where he is deployed to attack nearby enemies, while the Death Experience talent heals him for 80% when his health drops to 40%, stunning nearby enemies.
The Dire Batlings also make an appearance. They cost 2 gold and inflict 48 damage per bite. Batman’s Pals feature talents such as Sound Bite, which sends out a sound wave to attack nearby enemies, Midnight Call, which grants stealth on a kill, and the fun Guano Happens, which drops water poison on enemies.

You can now join in the Halloween fun by downloading Warcraft Rumble from the App Store for iOS or the Play Store for Android. The game is free with in-app purchases. If they are not obligatory, the balance of the game is very fragile, as is often the case in Blizzard’s mobile games. Too bad, but the fans will get over it.
*Halloween is a folk festival originating from the Anglo-Celtic Islands celebrated on the night of October 31 to November 1, the Catholic holiday of All Saints’ Day.
