Next Thursday, May 22nd, the live-action Lilo & Stitch film will be released in all theaters. This sci-fi comedy directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp will bring our beloved blue alien to life, a character who has already captivated fans of the character in the first glimpses of the film.

What is WhatsApp’s “Stitch Mode”?

As such,  WhatsApp  doesn’t have a feature called ” Stitch Mode .” However, it can be made to exist by following a few simple steps.

To do this, you will need three images of the character and an application called  “launcher”.

Please note that Meta‘s messaging platform does not recommend using third-party apps to make changes to  WhatsApp,  so activating  “Stitch Mode”  is the responsibility of each user.

Step-by-step instructions for activating “Stitch mode”

The first thing you need to do to activate  Stitch Mode  in  WhatsApp  is to download the Nova Launcher app  , which is available on the Google Play Store for Android.

Once downloaded, search for three Stitch- related images . They can be downloaded through Google search, image banks, or Pinterest. These images must meet specific formats: one must be vertical, one horizontal, and the last square.

Once you have these elements ready, follow these steps to activate “ Stitch mode .”

WhatsApp icon

  • Open Nova Launcher on your phone and identify the WhatsApp icon.
  • Press and hold the icon until an options menu appears.
  • Select “Edit”, press the icon again and click on “Photos”.
  • Select the square Stitch image and adjust it.
  • Press the “Done” button and verify that the changes have been saved.

  • Enter a  WhatsApp conversation and select the text bar to display the keyboard.
  • Press the gear icon at the top of the keyboard.
  • Select “Themes” and then “My Themes”.
  • Now, attach the horizontal image of  Stitch and adjust it.
  • Click “Next” and select “Done” to save your changes.

  • Click on the three dots that appear in the upper right corner of the  WhatsApp screen.
  • Go to “Settings,” then “Chats,” and select “Wallpapers.”
  • Choose the “Change” option and press “My Photos”.
  • Attach a vertical image of  Stitch and adjust it.
  • Finally, press the “Set wallpaper” button to confirm and save the changes.
