Apple mixed virtual reality glasses, Vision Prowere presented in June 2023 to be launched much later, in February 2024, but only in the United States. More than a year later we have no trace of them in the Apple Store of Spain, despite the fact that neighboring countries, such as France, already have them. Will they arrive at some point?
First of all, we want to emphasize that everything we comment in this article is nothing more than mere speculation, according to the rumors and opinion that, as experts in the field, we can have and foresee this unusual situation in this way.
The Apple Vision Pro arrived as a revolutionary device 13 months ago to the stores in the United States, combining augmented reality and virtual realityto offer an immersive experience without using controls, such as some of its rivals, such as Quest goalsince in the Apple device everything could be controlled through gestures, voice commands and ocular monitoring.
In recent weeks, the rumors that arrive talk about Apple would have stopped the production of mixed reality glasses because their sales are well below expected, and do not want to lose more money by manufacturing stock that they fail to sell. However, since there is no official information from Cupertino's company, many other voices talk about a possible lack of production capacity by Apple.
In which countries the Apple Vision Pro sell
And, what is the global panorama of the vision? Well, we have a context that is not entirely unfavorable. First, they launched the glasses in the United States February 2, 2024as we have mentioned above. Later, on June 28, 2024, after announcing it at the WWDC on the 10th of the same month, they reached several Asian markets, among what were Continental, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
A couple of weeks later, the glasses entered European territory, since on July 12, 2024 they reached France, Germany and the United Kingdomat the same time that they expanded their borders far from Europe, reaching Australia and Canada on the same date.
Finally, already at the end of the year, they arrived in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on November 15 and Taiwan on December 17, thus closing its global expansion during their first year of existence.
Will they arrive in Spain?
Since we still have no official information, two possibilities are opened above the rest.
- In the first place, a possibility, although perhaps it is the least likely, is that Apple decides to omit this model in Spain. In this way, the first device we would see of this type would may be the Economic vision in which the company's engineers are working, which would be a much more accessible version than the first. Of course, with limitations in terms of hardware.
- The second option and that, at least on a personal level, is more strength, is that it is announced in the WWDC of June 9 of this same arrival in Spain. It would not be unreasonable to think that this event gave an exact date for the arrival of the vision pro to Spain. Maybe at the end of June or in July.
In any case, the coming months seem keys to see if Apple decides to step on Spanish territory with this device or forget about us.
