There’s no doubt that Microsoft is currently betting heavily on the latest version of its operating system, Windows 11. This is despite the fact that millions of users prefer to continue using Windows 10 and will be forced to upgrade in just a few months.

This is largely due to the end of support for the previous version of the system, which will occur on October 14th of this year. From that moment on, Windows 10 will no longer receive security and other updates, at least for free. This means it will become vulnerable software, and it will only get worse over the months.

All this is because attackers will be on the lookout for our data stored here, and any vulnerabilities that are detected will remain unpatched. Microsoft has long been employing various strategies to get us to migrate to Windows 11 as soon as possible, although it hasn’t been as successful as expected. Many still refuse to take this step, and there are several reasons behind this decision.

Among these are the high hardware requirements that the new version of the system requires to function properly. This is why many are even deciding to switch to open-source Linux systems. We’re telling you all this because the software giant is now working on a new feature that will show us the drawbacks of having poor hardware when running Windows 11.

Windows 11 will have a feature to view hardware problems

Many of you may still remember the tool built into Windows 7 that gave us a performance score for our computer compared to the operating system. Well, Microsoft is currently working on something similar to analyze the hardware available on our computer, once it’s running Windows 11.

Windows 11 hardware

The new tool included will tell us about the problems we may face if we use poor hardware on our computer when running this version of the system. For example, this new feature will inform us about the problems we will encounter if we run Windows 11 on a computer with 4 or 8 gigabytes of RAM .

Perhaps this is simply a new strategy by the software giant to try to convince us to buy a new computer to get the most out of the new version of the system. All of this will become especially important once users can no longer rely on Windows 10 as a reliable alternative. Another solution the company is also seeking is for us to upgrade the hardware of our current computer as much as possible, for example by upgrading the RAM.

We must keep in mind that this is a feature that is currently in the test versions of the operating system, although it is expected to arrive soon in the stable versions through a submitted update.
