For example, OpenAI launched the ChatGPT Pro subscription, rolled out its Sora video generator, and made the Canvas feature free for all users. Yesterday, it announced the availability of real-time video on the advanced voice world of ChatGPT.
In essence, in addition to allowing the user to chat in a fluid and natural way with the AI, this mode also allows the camera to be used to provide real-time video information to ChatGPT. But that’s not all, since OpenAI also announced a little new feature that might please some users during this end-of-year period.
Santa Claus comes to ChatGPT
When using ChatGPT’s voice mode, you can now choose the voice of… Santa Claus. And it’s free. To use this rather special voice, simply go to the ChatGPT mobile application and press the snowflake icon that appears on the screen. But you can also go to the app settings, go to the voice options, and choose the happy and festive voice of “Santa”.
As a reminder, if ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode can now produce fluid and natural interactions, it is thanks to the GPT-4o model, announced in May. It is an improved version of GPT-4 that natively supports other formats, in addition to text, instead of going through intermediate models.
