We know that the POCO “F” series is the top of the range in this Xiaomi subsidiary’s catalogue, but in this case, the firm has decided to take a step forward and create a terminal that is on par with the high-end models of 2025, something we didn’t think would happen.
Leaving aside the POCO F7 Pro, which we believe will become popular due to its value for money, we believe this POCO F7 Ultra will do so in a segment that seeks updated power and an excellent photography experience. The best of both worlds, at a very competitive price within its range.
POCO F7 Ultra: a device that has it all
In terms of design, the POCO F7 Ultra maintains the same aesthetic as its “younger” sibling, so there isn’t much to write home about in this area. The same goes for its display, as both the Pro and Ultra versions share similarities. In this case, we have a completely flat 6.67-inch panel with Flow AMOLED technology, 2 K+ resolution, a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the screen, a detail that should definitely be taken into account.
But what surprised us most is that this version integrates the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s best processor to date. This is the first time POCO has opted for a premium chipset of the year in one of its models, not to mention that there are versions with 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. In this sense, we can be completely sure that this device will excel in every area without any hiccups.
Another big difference between the POCO F7 Ultra and the Pro is in its photography section. This model has a 50-megapixel f/1.6 main sensor with OIS, a 32-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle lens, and an impressive 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x lossless optical zoom. The latter gives a fresh air to the generation, offering extremely balanced and versatile sensors.
We can’t forget to mention the battery life. While it doesn’t reach the 6,000 mAh capacity of the F7 Pro, the combination of 5,300mAh with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging makes up for it masterfully.
