Clearly, Inoxtag is not idle. The content creator has a head full of ideas and gives himself the means to bring them to fruition. A true favorite of Internet users on YouTube and Twitch, the videographer has commanded everyone’s respect by succeeding in his challenge of climbing Everest.
Absent for months to climb to the Roof of the World, Inoxtag returned with fanfare last fall. To return to his community in due form, the young man did not do things by halves. Indeed, fans were able to discover Kaizen – 1 year to climb Everest in theaters for a weekend, then directly on YouTube. It is a 2h30 documentary which looks back on his exploit.
But after KaizenInoxtag has embarked on a new adventure and not just any adventure. The videographer’s love for manga is well established. It is only logical that he released the first volume of his own manga. And the least we can say is that success is (still) there.
The best start for a first manga volume in France
Instinctit’s Inoxtag’s manga. Following the precise pattern of shōnen, we follow Haki, a young man capable of perceiving the aura of the people he meets and, consequently, their intentions. Whether they are good or bad. But at 19, Haki found himself infected with a deadly and incurable virus. With only a few months left to live, he crosses paths with Luna, an intriguing young girl who gives him a glimpse of a better world. For InstinctInoxtag surrounded itself with Charles Compain and Basile Monnot.
It is not surprising that the manga Instinct met with enormous success. To begin with, Inoxtag is the content creator of the moment, having even been voted Man of the Year by GQ France a few days ago. In addition, France is a country very fond of manga. Last year, 40 million mangas were sold in France. To put it simply, we are the second largest consumer of manga, just after Japan. It’s not nothing!
Thus, all the ingredients come together to ensure the success ofInstinct. And what success! Indeed, Inoxtag’s manga sold 82,760 copies in just four days. To give you an idea, no first manga volume has achieved such an impressive start.
In France, the best start for a manga was achieved by One Piece and its volume 100. The release of this opus caused a sensation among booksellers and it sold 131,270 copies in just three days in December 2021.
