After several years with base iPhone ranges that did not convince anyone, Apple put everything in its iPhone 17 model, increasing functions and components that everyone asked, such as the screen at 120 Hz, 256 GB of base capacity, or more inches in the same size.
This has made it one of the best -selling models, and that opens the doors to An iPhone 17E version Different, since now, Apple, does have a margin of improvement, getting a difference between them, but being able to put this much cheaper. Will it be much better than the 16E iPhone?
This could be the iPhone 17E
Everything we will discuss are rumors and assumptions of the community itself, since the version “E” is supposedly the economy, and this means that it will not become as good as the iPhone 17, but it will cost much less, being able to position itself as the best -selling phone of 2026 and better in quality and price relationship, if Apple does well.
- Screen: Keep the OLED panel, but going down to 90 Hz instead of 120 Hz. Thus it would remain fluid, but would spend less battery. This would be ideal, although we believe they will maintain the 60 Hz in this case, without knowing if the dynamic island would finally arrive. Everything depends, in a way, on the stock of old pieces that Apple has.
- Processor: Opt for the A17 chip instead of the A18. The performance would remain more than enough for the majority and help reduce the final price. One of the simplest points that Apple has to take advantage of previous pieces and to offer a minor cost.
- Materials: Change the titanium frame for recycled aluminum. It would be a little less premium, but it would remain light and resistant. The new iPhone already did, so we do not expect the “e” not to do so.
- Cameras: I could keep the main sensor of the iPhone 17 or 17 Air, getting one of those “premium” points that make your purchase attention. Apple boasts a lot of cameras, so it could be the few things we see in a cheap version being as current as possible.
- Fast charging: Upload cable load power and maintain compatibility with MAGSAFE, although it is sold as a separate accessory. The 16E iPhone is not compatible, and many criticized this.
- Battery: Give more priority to autonomy than to thickness. Many would prefer a slightly thicker mobile, but endure all day. It is cheaper to make a larger battery, than an Air model, so it would be another option.
- Price: If Apple manages to leave it below € 750, it could be the most sensible iPhone in years, getting many users, they could go for it, while still feeling the quality of the company. It must be remembered that, currently, the iPhone 16E can be achieved for less than 600 euros, logically after months from its departure, and on websites like Amazon, so it is not crazy.
All this could make an important difference between iPhone 17 and iPhone 17E, but which would you buy for those prices? 959 euros, or 750 euros? Does reductions compensate in some sections? The truth is that for the most demanding user, but for that we have the pro models, so I think I could do a lot of competition to the base versions, and be one of the best selling of 2026.
