In recent days, the small world of video games has been turned upside down by the arrival on the market of a new, much-maligned machine: the PS5 Pro. A new PlayStation “mid-gen” which allows you to benefit from certain improvements on several dozen compatible games. And if the visual gain is as undeniable as it is subtle (depending on the games), it is the price of the machine that is the subject of debate, with a price of €799… without a disk drive.
An accessory to keep your pizza warm… thanks to the heat emitted by the PS5?
In use, the PS5 Pro remains very (very) similar to its big sister, the PS5 Slim. For our part, if the first PS5 of the name was a model of silence in terms of operation, the PS5 Slim already operated in a less discreet manner, with an audible (but nevertheless discreet) fan at the slightest game launch. The observation is similar with the PS5 Pro, whose noise remains (on our model in any case) identical to that of the PS5 Slim.
On the Pizza Hut side, we wanted to ride the (bad) PS5 Pro buzz, creating… another buzz. Thus, the brand specializing in pizza announced the creation of a box aimed at keeping its pizza warm. A box called PIZZAWRMR, whose concept is based on being used with… a PS5. Thus, by placing the object on the Sony PS5, you keep your pizza warm by using the heat emitted by the console.
Obviously, this is all just a big joke, and the PIZZAWRMR box does not officially exist… even if the brand has posted a plan online allowing the box to be printed using a 3D printer. Obviously, for the good health of your PS5, placing an object on the console should be avoided, just like locking it in a piece of furniture. But in reality, Pizza Hut is somewhat on the wrong track with its buzz, and is trying to ride on the popularity of the Sony console, even if it means “forget” competition.
Indeed, as mentioned above, it is a fact, the new PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro tend to emit fan noise, unlike an Xbox Series X which remains a model of absolute silence. The publication by Pizza Hut suggests that the PS5 would tend to overheat during use. However, even though the PS5 fan is more or less audible depending on the positioning of the console in space, the PS5 has never shown the slightest problem linked to any overheating. The PIZZAWRMR buzz therefore has no real reason to exist in reality. Of course, the joke remains funny, but it makes no sense, pointing to a pseudo overheating of the PS5.
In reality, the heating of the PS5 would even be equivalent, or even lower… than that of the Xbox Series report a temperature (in game) of around 46°, compared to 48° for the Xbox Series X…
