Apple Intelligence’s AI features will soon become indispensable in our daily lives, if we don’t realize it at the moment, Apple knows it well and shows it to us in three separate advertisements. In its videos, Apple highlights situations that can happen to anyone on a daily basis. The three AI features highlighted are personalized memory movies, the new Siri and the AI summary of emails.
Apple Intelligence’s First Ads
Apple has just uploaded three new videos to YouTube to promote the iPhone 16 Pro and its Apple Intelligence technology. This is the first time Apple has mentioned Apple Intelligence in ads since its announcement at WWDC 2024 in June. With these videos, the company is starting to make the technology a key selling point in the US for its new iPhone 16.
The videos, each less than a minute long, are designed to be broadcast on television channels around the world. They feature English actress Bella Ramsey, recently seen in the first season of the hit series The Last of Usavailable on the HBO Max streaming service. The videos highlight three key Apple Intelligence features in the Photos app, Mail, and Siri.
Highlighted features:
-
- Personalized Memory Movies (Video #1)
The first video shows a feature of the Photos app that, although not widely publicized so far, is very useful. Apple Intelligence allows you to create personalized videos from a simple description. For example, if you want a film about your best friend’s birthday, Apple Intelligence will automatically select the best photos and videos related to this event, while excluding those that are poorly taken or too short. The creation is ordered chronologically to best tell your story.
- Personalized Memory Movies (Video #1)
-
- Email Summary (Video #2)
In the second video, the Mail app is at the heart of the promotion with an email summary feature. As soon as a long message is detected, a button can be used to generate a quick summary, accessible directly from the inbox. The idea is to save users time by offering them an instant preview of the content, similar to the article summary feature available on some internet browsers.
- Email Summary (Video #2)
-
- Siri more personal (Video #3)
The third video highlights a smarter and more personal Siri. With Apple Intelligence, Siri can now better understand the user’s context, act across different applications, and interpret language more finely. Siri thus becomes a more powerful and intuitive assistant, capable of taking on complex tasks based on the user’s specific needs.
