The design is minimalist and functional (although with little practicality really). An elastic pocket that surrounds the iPhone, allowing part of the screen to be seen through the fabric. According to Yoshiyuki Miyamae, design director of ISSEY MIYAKE, the idea is born from the concept of “a single piece of fabric” and seeks to allow each person to carry their iPhone in their own way, with freedom and style.
He iPhone Pocket It arrives in two versions: one with a short strap, available in eight colors, such as lemon, tangerine, purple or sapphire, for $149.95 and another with a long, more sober strap, in three shades (sapphire, cinnamon and black) for $229.95. Both are compatible with any iPhone model, since they act like a “sock”, as we call it, and the size does not matter, since you just have to put it inside, and that's it.
Apple comments that the chosen colors try to combine with its entire line of phones, promoting an accessory that not only protects, but also becomes a fashion accessory, or at least that is what they are looking for, for those who tend towards this type of more “exclusive” accessories.
He launch official will be November 14 in the Apple online store and in selected stores in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, France and Italy. This means that, if you are in Spain, you will not be able to get one, at least officially.
In short, the iPhone Pocket is one of those risky bets from Apple, which although they are not for everyone, at least because of the price, they do make some of their products more exclusive, and for those who are willing to pay for it.
