Although yesterday we talked about the possible changes in iOS 26.2, until Apple releases the betas, we cannot ensure that they will finally implement them. However, we now have a new version, so we can take a closer look.
We will analyze the characteristics of this second beta of iOS 26.2which brings a lot of new features, but we do not recommend installing, unless you have a secondary phone, as they could contain errors and bugs that ruin the experience or cause you problems.
Changes in beta 2 of iOS 26.2
There are several, both visually and functionally, so it will not be a simple security patch, and we will see all of this as soon as we enter the system again. Let's review, one by one, in summary, these:
- Measure: The spirit level changes to a “Liquid Glass” look: instead of white circles you will see two bubbles with a liquid glass effect, it looks more modern and easier to read.
- Games– You can now sort your library by size, as well as name or recent (useful if you want to free up space quickly, for example).
- CarPlay– You can disable pinned messages in the Messages app while using CarPlay. That is, fewer distractions when you are behind the wheel.
- Animations– Pop-up menus that appear from a corner have a faster and more elastic animation. The sensation is more fluid and less slow.
- Security alerts: Enhanced Safety Alerts includes more information about emergencies (earthquakes, floods, etc.). Alerts use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or data as needed, without saving your exact location.
Other small things: a new “Liquid Glass” slider on the lock screen and support for live translation with AirPods within the European Union, something that many have been asking for since they acquired new AirPods precisely for this reason.
Beta 2 is now for developers; The public version should arrive soon and the final version is expected between December 9 and 16. For now there are no more changes, but it is not the last beta, so we will continue to monitor the evolution of iOS 26.2, since it looks good, and once we move on to it, with all the modifications, the change will be even more surprising.
Remember that it is important to update, since, in addition to these modifications, there are other internal ones, such as security patches, privacy patches, or even battery optimizationmaking our iPhone work better with iOS 26, and last longer.
