A niche product

Priced at $3,499 in the United States, and €3,999 in France, the Vision Pro is a high-end niche device. In a recent interview, CEO Tim Cook indicated that this is not a mass product, with Apple apparently having enough inventory to meet demand. Analysts estimate that Apple could produce up to 600,000 units by the end of the year, which ultimately reassures no one.

Hailed for its cutting-edge technology, the headset wowed the gallery thanks to its human-machine interface worthy of Minority Report (see our test), but the price, combined with the lack of innovative applications, seem to have dampened customer enthusiasm. To do better, Apple is preparing a standard Vision that is half the price. But in our opinion, it will always be too expensive to break through. Meta, with its Quest, is already struggling to convince, despite a price around 300 euros.

Are you waiting for the Vision Pro to launch in your country? If yes, which one?
