New Apple Music and WhatsApp feature
Apple is preparing a long-awaited feature: being able to share songs and lyrics Apple Music directly in WhatsApp statuses. This new tool, which appeared in the iOS 26.2 beta (which has been removed for some devices), will allow you to show what you are listening to with a much more attractive visual design, similar to what Spotify already offers.
When selecting the option “Share lyrics” Within Apple Music, some users already see the new alternative “WhatsApp Status”. From there it is possible to choose a fragment of the lyrics, add the album cover and publish it as a story on WhatsApp, without having to take screenshots or use external apps. Something similar to what other apps like Instagram offer, but with the ease of doing it directly, and without having to be a Spotify user.
At the moment, the option does not appear for everyone nor does it work when sharing the entire song, only when used from the lyrics screen. This tells us that Apple is still fine-tuning details before officially launching the feature. As is often the case with betas, the feature could change or be delayed slightly before reaching the general public, which could take days, or weeks, depending on the test results.
To enjoy it, you will need to have an active Apple Music account and, of course, the latest version of iOS. Everything indicates that the function will arrive with the final update of iOS 26.2, so don't look at your app all the time, since for now you won't see it, unless you install the beta, which, as we said, would have been withdrawn due to problems in some models, and we will have to wait.
