Apple Music launches its annual Replay 2024 retrospective, revealing to subscribers their personalized listening statistics for the past year. This feature, which arrives 24 hours before the highly anticipated Spotify Wrapped, offers an enriched experience while retaining its particular format.

The 2024 retrospective is available

Unlike its competitors, Apple Music maintains its choice of an exclusively web experience, accessible via replay.music.apple.com. This year, the service is introducing a new Reel format inspired by Instagram Stories, allowing users to browse their listening statistics through video animations that can be shared on social networks.

The 2024 retrospective offers an in-depth analysis of listening habits: total minutes of listening, number of artists discovered, preferred genres and “super-fan” status for certain artists. A new feature also allows you to compare your statistics with those of 2023, showing the evolution of musical preferences. In particular, we can see at what precise moment we crossed certain listening levels during the year.

Although the main experience remains confined to the web browser, the Replay 2024 playlist bringing together the most listened to songs can be directly added to the Apple Music application library. However, we advise you to view your Replay from the iPhone because the rendering is much better than from a computer. This approach, while it may seem less integrated than that of Spotify, nevertheless allows Apple to offer monthly updates of these statistics throughout the year.
