Asus is taking advantage of CES 2025 to announce its new ROG and Zenbook ranges, with configurations that promise wonders with renewed components and artificial intelligence.
ROG Strix built for gaming
The ROG Strix SCAR 16 and 18 are establishing themselves as Asus’ new spearheads in the gaming market. Equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors with 24 cores and 32 threads, they also feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards that can reach 175W TGP. A configuration that promises exceptional performance in the most demanding games.
But the real innovation is hidden in the cooling system. Asus has developed a tailor-made thermal solution incorporating a vapor chamber, heat sink and Tri-Fan technology. The use of Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on the CPU and GPU helps maintain optimal temperatures while limiting noise levels to 45 dB.
The 2.5K ROG Nebula HDR displays also mark a major evolution. With more than 2000 dimming zones, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, these mini-LED panels should live up to expectations.
The Zephyrus reinvents ultrabook gaming
The ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 arrive in an ultra-thin format with 1.59 cm for the G14 and 1.49 cm for the G16, yet carrying muscular configurations. Your choice: Intel Core Ultra 9 285H or AMD Ryzen AI 7 350/Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs.
The CNC milled aluminum chassis promises strength and lightness, with only 1.5 kg for the G14 and 1.85 kg for the G16. They are equipped with 3K 120 Hz screens on the G14, 2.5K 240 Hz on the G16, in both cases with an ultra-fast response time of 0.2 ms.
The Flow Z13 reinvents the gaming tablet
Asus innovates with the ROG Flow Z13a 2-in-1 gaming tablet powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. This single chip combines a desktop processor, an RDNA 3.5 GPU and a dedicated NPU, delivering 50 TOPS of AI computing power.
The Pantone-certified 2.5K 180 Hz touch screen is accompanied by a 170° tilting kickstand, offering unprecedented versatility of use. The 70 Wh battery promises up to 10 hours of battery life.
More accessible Zenbook and Vivobook
Asus does not forget users looking for more affordable ultrabooks dedicated to office use. The Zenbook 14 (UX3407) starts at €999, while the Vivobook 14 and 16 start at €799. With this refresh, Asus promises an excellent level of finish and balanced configurations for daily use.
A move upmarket that pays for itself
This technological debauchery comes at a price. The ROG Strix SCAR starts at €3,799.99 for the 16-inch model and €3,899.99 for the 18-inch. The Zephyrus follow the same trend: €3599.99 for the G14 and €3799.99 for the G16. The Flow Z13 is more accessible at €2,299.99.
These prices clearly position Asus in the premium segment, which are not within the reach of all budgets. Availability is announced for March 2025 in France.
