Since the beginning of June, after the Apple developer conference (WWDC 2025), we have had the first available iOS Betas 26, the next iPhone operating system that we will officially see, in September, with the departure of the new models.
These types of betas show us how the final version will be, with the anticipated changes so that we can try them, but above all, so that Apple can correct failures and that users who do not want to risk them, do not suffer them, so we never recommend installing them on a main iPhone.
iOS 26 Beta 4: News
We are already in the fourth beta, so stability and errors have been improved, being able to add new tools, functions and design changes such as those we will see today, and this seems to bring enough things, which we will see now summarized:
- Call filtering: Now you can make the iPhone ask the person who calls why he is calling you before you decide to answer. There is also a new option to automatically silence all unknown number calls, ideal to avoid spam or unwanted interruptions.
- Apple Intelligence: Automatic summaries return in notifications, better integrated and with a label that clearly indicates that they have been generated by AI. This function was deactivated in an anterior beta by errors, but now returns with important improvements.
- “Liquid Glass” design: Apple continues to polish the new visual style of iOS 26. In this beta, the effects of transparency are more worked and are better integrated with the funds, especially in apps such as Photos, Apple Music or App Store. The notification center also attenuates the background when deploying, which improves reading. Design is what usually changes, and this is not to be the one we finally see.
- Camera app: Some buttons have been adjusted and the icons changed so that the interface is clearer. A welcome screen also appears the first time you open it after updating, highlighting the most important changes.
- Carplay: Receive new funds adapted to the dark mode and small touch-ups in the interface so that the design is in line with the rest of iOS 26. Cleaner, more modern and more coherent.
- Security and passwords: The access and password code menus have been reorganized to be easier to use. There is also a new option in audio settings to limit strong sounds automatically.
- APP Time: Now you can activate quick access to your favorite locations to see the weather without having to look for them one. A small change that improves the experience quite a lot.
As we see, the changes are enough, and we can try them if we install beta 4, although we still have some accounts, so it is advisable to wait a little more, especially, as we said, if we are going to do it on a main iPhone, that is, the one we use day by day, since it could leave us lying at some important time.
And you, what other changes do you expect for iOS 26? Do you like what you are seeing? Leave us a comment with your opinion about it.
