AI is something quite recent, but with which we will live our entire lives. Sometimes, it is not very useful, and only serves as a “game”, however, in others, it can give us information that we did not know, as well as songs that we like, and we did not know existed.

That is why today, we will see a new ChatGPT feature, compatible with Apple Musicand it will create that playlist for us, based on our preferences, ideal for when we get bored of our own, and we want something new.

Apple Music and ChatGPT together

When it comes to making music lists, many people always end up the same: the same songs, the same old playlists and no desire to start searching for new songs one by one. This is where the new ChatGPT with Apple Music comes in, which basically lets you create playlists saying what you want to hearjust as you would think.

Instead of searching for artist by artist or fighting over weird recommendations, you can type in something like “calm music for work,” “themes for driving at night,” or “soft indie for a Sunday afternoon,” and ChatGPT understands. From there it proposes songs that fit what you have requested, without having to refine so much.

If you have Apple Music, things are quite convenient. Once you connect your account, ChatGPT shows you the list and, if you like it, you can save it directly to your library. You don't have to copy names, create the playlist by hand, or anything like that. If you don't have a subscription, you can still see the songs and listen to fragments, although you can't save them, so It can help you do it manually on Spotify or another platformalthough it is more tedious. Additionally, you can delete the ones you don't like, or simply add the ones you do to your library.

The connection is made once from ChatGPT, linking Apple Music with your Apple ID. After that, it is ready and you can use it from your mobile or computer without configuring anything again. All pretty straightforward.

An important detail is that ChatGPT does not see what you usually listen to or your personal playlists. It doesn't get into your history or know what artists you like. Simply work with the general Apple Music catalog and with what you ask at that moment. This means that it is not a “personal” recommendation as such, but it also prevents it from going where it does not belong, which, for many, is important, for privacy.

In the end, this does not replace Apple Music or its recommendations, but rather makes it more convenient when you are clear about the type of music you are looking for, but you don't know what to play, since you have used all the artists or titles you know, and you want something different. It's like telling someone “play music that fits this” and letting them choose, surprising you with things you may not have known about.

For those who usually listen to the same thing or are too lazy to discover new music, it can be a quite pleasant way to get out of the routine a little without getting too complicated. It will be something similar to what we already have in the Music app itself, but still being able to refine the search more, since we can even discard an artist, something that we cannot ask the app itself directly.
