A new useless Mac utility, and therefore totally essential! In the spirit of celebration, developer Simon Støvring has launched Festivitas, a macOS app designed to bring Christmas cheer to your computer.
A decorative utility
Festivitas adds tavern garland-style lanterns to the Mac’s dock and menu bar. Light size, distance and cable thickness can be customized, as can colors and light changing sequence. A gadget that should find a buyer.
Main features of the app:
- Drape your Mac’s menu bar and dock with colorful string lights.
- Adjust the hue of the lights, the thickness of the cables and control the tempo of the light sequence according to your tastes.
- Initial setup requires granting accessibility permissions, which you can manage via System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
- Compatible with macOS 14.6 and higher, Festivitas is available for the modest sum of four euros.
