Just over a month after the launch of the iPhone 16, demand for the Pro Max model continues to be the protagonist of this new generation, with longer wait times than those of their range brothers. Overall availability of the iPhone 16 is reportedly starting to gradually improve, except for the Pro Max, for which demand shows no signs of slowing down.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple’s flagship in this new generation, maintains a waiting time of 29 days since its launch, reflecting strong interest in this year’s top-of-the-range device.

Analysts consider this behavior a recovery in demand momentum, noting that the apparent signs of initial weakness were an anomaly. The purchasing trend of this model shows better data than previous years, which has surprised many.

In contrast, the base and Plus models of the iPhone 16 line are in line with the availability times of the previous generation, the iPhone 15, suggesting more moderate demand compared to the Pro Max model. For example, in week five, the iPhone 16 went from a four-day wait time in the previous week to just three days. The iPhone 16 Plus has also reduced its time from six to three days in the same period. These data confirm that demand for these models is still high, but not at the exorbitant levels that the Pro Max continues to set.

The report details that the situation in the US market reflects this global trend. While the iPhone 16 and Plus can be purchased with a wait of just four days, the Pro and Pro Max models maintain times of 21 and 28 days respectively, unchanged from the previous week. However, getting the Pro Max in physical stores is much more complicated, since it is the most difficult model to find.

Apple also sweeps Europe

The Chinese market is also seeing an improvement in the availability of the iPhone 16. The waiting time for the base and Plus models has gone from five days to just one, while the Pro has reduced its time from 23 to 20 days and the Pro Max has dropped from 30 to 26 days.

In Europe, the story is similar. In Germany, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have dropped to three days, while in the United Kingdom, waiting times for the iPhone 16 remain at five days, although the Plus has dropped to four days. However, the Pro and Pro Max models remain the most difficult to obtain, with wait times ranging from 22 and 31 days in Germanyand which have barely changed since the previous week in the United Kingdom.

The continued high demand for the iPhone 16 Pro Max shows that consumers are willing to wait to get their hands on the most premium model in the range. Meanwhile, the availability of the rest of the models continues to improve, although they remain in line with what was observed in the previous generation. With these trends, it seems clear that the iPhone 16 Pro Max remains the favorite indisputable among the most demanding users.
