Recently, the first betas of iOS 26and many users have gone direct to try them, to be able to see everything new before anyone else. However, as we always warn, this can generate problems on your iPhone, from incompatibility with apps, to battery drain, overheating, etc.
This is something that Fortnite players have lived, because although the app worked correctly when installing the beta of iOS 26, once they have taken an update from the game, this app has disappeared from the iPhone, or rather it has stopped working, so they have run out of power.
Fortnite Blitz Royale incompatible with iOS 26
This is what is called the new version that Epic Games would have launched Fortnite, which I would have stopped working on the iPhone with iOS 26 as well as the iPad with the iPados 26 version, so every player who has his device updated to the beta, and was a player of this title, he can no longer run it, unless he does a download to the current version of the system, without betas.
For now the company has not spoken, since, as we said, this game did work until today despite having iOS 26 or ipados 26, and it was with the update, when it stopped doing it.
Blitz Royale is a Battle Royale mode for 32 players with new game mechanics in each game and frequent updates. And the best? Get the victory in five minutes or less! Perfect to play on your phone!
Apparently, this mode, or what it implies, It has not been adapted to iOS 26and, therefore, it is not possible to execute it on an iPhone with this system, which makes all those players who had downloaded the beta, knowing that Fortnite did work, now they have a problem, and a difficult solution, especially if the backup copies made are in iOS 26, since they will not be able to return, in a simple way, to iOS 18, and it does not seem that the game will be adapted soon to the new operating system, so they would be in a limbo.
That is why we never recommend installing betas, since they can contain errors that, although at first they do not appear, end up emerging. That without counting the battery consumption and heating That has the version, causing those people who did try Fortnite, had to be hooked to a plug to play it, something that is not feasible, despite working.

And you, are you a Fortnite player? Have you been affected by this problem? In case of being, and being thinking of updating iOS, now you know, and at least that there is a new update, or Epic Games is pronounced, do not do it, because you will lose access to the game, and nobody guarantees you a return date, it could be even in September, when it really sets iOS 26, without previously operating with any more beta.
Leave us a comment if it happened to you, and if you have found any solution for it. Although for now it looks bad.
