With the departure of iOS 18.2 and the absurd EU rulesamong other organizations, are making Apple’s system look nothing like what the company itself would want, which is why we see these types of changes every month, and in this case, it is quite surreal, so we have to comment on it.

Apparently, with this version (although still in beta), we can eliminate any application from the systemand iOS itself cannot prevent us from doing so with any of them, so we can not only uninstall the camera or the browser, but also the App Store itself, although it may sound strange.

Remove App Store in iOS 18.2

There are many users who these days have shown screenshots with the option to delete the app from the App Storesince the system allows it, but few have dared to do it, since, what happens if we do it? Where do we download the store again? Would we be left without an iPhone? The truth is that it is normal to ask it, because it is very strange, but it has a simple answer.

The system is obliged to let us delete all types of apps, however, we must have an alternative To do this, that is, Apple cannot force us to use its camera, its browser, or even its store, but in order to uninstall it, we must have another one, that is, an app from a different store that would allow us to continue using the phone and downloading apps.

Therefore, we can delete the App Store as long as there is another one on the iPhone, just like the rest of the apps, even though some do not need an alternative, and if you want to delete one, you can, since in this case you could do it again. lower it by being forced to have a store.

This gives us some peace of mind, since at least we won’t be able to do this by mistake, and if you don’t want it to happen to you, you simply won’t have to download an alternative store (something that, honestly, I haven’t thought about).

On the other hand, if it is something interesting, since if we do not like the iPhone camera and we have a more professional app, we can directly delete the original and so it does not have to ask us which one to use, since it will always go for the only one that we have.

Apple will not be very happy with this, and since The EU forced them to eliminate the lightning cableit has been all restrictions and obligations, so we don’t know how far they will go. The next step is that the batteries can be replaced directly by users, so they will no longer have the benefit of charging 100 euros or more for the change, although we do like this.

And you, what do you think of all this? Do you think it is a good option, or are they destroying the Apple ecosystem with so much customization and flexibility? Leave us a comment with your opinions and if you plan to delete the App Store (I hope not). To do this, you will have to wait, of course, for iOS 18.2, unless you download a beta before.
