Apple Intelligence on Apple TVs?
The first thing we have to know is that Apple implements this technology locally, that is, it would not use network servers for it, which entails a need for minimum hardware in each device to be able to function correctly, and what prevents, As we just mentioned, that Apple TVs, which do not have enough RAM or chip for it, can support it.
This leads us to a clear answer, and that is that we will not have AI in them until a new model comes out. This expected in 2025since they have not released a new version since 2022, which would have been delayed until this year waiting for this component improvement that allows it to run Apple Intelligence.
Therefore, yes, we will have AI in these devices, although we will have to wait for their launch, which could be at any time of the year, although we would like to see it in the first half.
Thanks to it we can find movies or series much more easily, being able to say “Hey Siri, show me humorous movies, where the protagonist is Leo Harlem and that are dubbed into English”, for example. This would allow us to run filters that we currently cannot select, or at least all together.
The price of new Apple TV could be the surprise, and that is that with the expected hardware, we would have not only a multimedia player, but also a possible console, since it would allow us to run quite powerful games, which, together with a Bluetooth controller, offer us this experience, Although it will not be close to a next-generation console, it will help us spend time with mini-games with friends.
For now we have to wait, since Apple is usually very reserved when it comes to announcing dates or features, however, rumors place it in these first 6 months of 2025with a high price (although it is not expected to be crazy either) and of course, Apple Intelligence available, which is not yet 100% developed, and hence they are not in a hurry to launch it, since as we all know, when Apple launches something, it likes it to work correctly, so we won’t see it at least until the Spanish language is available, which was estimated, according to the company itself, for April or May.
