Currently, there are many commercial calls that we all suffer on our phones, however, we have to answer them because we do not know who it is, and sometimes they are package delivery people, medical appointments, etc., and, therefore, we end up suffering these without need.
However, is there any way to know who calls us? Today we are going to see if it is possible to know the sender of a hidden call, and what we can do to avoid receiving this type of advertising spam all day, which is what mostly prevails.
How to know who is calling me secretly
Although it would be very nice to touch a key and be able to find out who is calling us secretly, it is not that easy, and this system is designed to reserve the anonymity of a person, so there will be no way to get the numberHowever, we do have ways to prevent these types of numbers from calling us:
Activate “Do not disturb” for unknown calls
- iOS has a feature that automatically silences calls from numbers that are not in your contacts.
- How to configure it:
- Go to Configuration > Phone.
- Select Silence unknown numbers.
- Activate it.
- Calls will be redirected to voicemail, where you may be able to identify the sender if they leave a message.
Use third-party applications
- There are applications that can help identify or block suspicious calls:
- truecaller: Identify unknown numbers and block unwanted calls.
- Hiya: Works as a spam identifier and blocker.
File a harassment complaint
- If you are receiving constant calls from hidden numbers and feel harassed:
- Keep a log of call times and dates.
- Go to the police or competent authority in your country and file a report.
- Your service provider can work with authorities to track the number, even if it is private.
These would be the 3 ways we have to mitigate this problem, although it will be difficult to find, in a simple way, the author of the calls, because, if each time it comes from a different person, and they are all spam calls, we will not be able to do anything, and the best would be change our numbersince, apparently, this would be listed somewhere that companies use to make commercial calls of this type, only being able to carry out the previous steps to at least block them, even if that causes them all to be blocked, even some that might interest us and they call this way.
And you, are you one of those who receive hidden phone calls all day? If they are advertising, there is little we can do, however, if it is someone who wants to bother you, you know, report itand your operator will be in charge of providing you with the number and identity of that user, allowing you to know, in this way, who it is.
