It is true that it is somewhat expensive, at least if we compare it with a simple extension cord, because in the end it would do something similar, however, the quality of this one and the comfort of always carrying it with you, or leaving it with a friend, is an extra that can make you decide for him. I have it, and the truth is that I couldn’t be more delighted with it, since it fits both a 2014 Mac (to say one), and a 2020 M1.
Currently, we can find it between 16 and 25 euros, depending on the offer and the moment, this being 1.8 meters longwhich would be added to the cable you already have, so we could talk about a distance greater than 3 or 4 meters in total, which practically allows us to cross a room without problem.
There are unofficial versions, however, once you purchase it, we recommend that it be from the Apple brand, as it will offer you greater quality. Mine, as I gave you in the example, I have been using it since 2014, with my previous Mac, where it was included, and today, 10 years later, it is still my trusted extender on my M1, so we could say that It is eternal, since I have not charged it precisely a few times.
