The app of Instagram has been updated both for Android and for iPhone (iOS), and although it may not have come to everyone, it will take a few hours or days to do so, so try to see if it works for you, and, but, you will only have to wait a little.
In this version we will see two interesting functions, both to reposition content, thus mentioning the original author and avoiding “stealing” those post that are often not ours and we passed as such, and a tool to know the location of our contacts.
New Instagram functions
As we said, there are 2 the main characteristics of the new version, which we are going to detail below, since they have their tricks, and will not be mandatory to use.
- Reposts on Instagram: Instagram has added the possibility of repositioning publications and public reels through a specific button. These reposts are shared directly in the user’s feed and grouped into a dedicated tab within the profile. At all times the credit to the original creator is shown, keeping the author’s name visible, so we avoid content without authorization.
- Location map (Instagram Map): Instagram has also launched a function similar to Snap Map, called Instagram MAP, which allows you to share your last active location within the app. It is a completely optional feature (opt-in) and is only available for those who enable it manually. You can limit who sees your location to contacts with mutual follow -up, Close Friends or custom lists. For minors accounts, there are parental controls to manage this configuration, so calm, that no one will know where you are if you do not want. It is ideal for a trip with friends, if your goal is not to miss them.
Instagram also added a New section in Reels called «Friends»where you can see the videos with which your friends have interacted, from what they have given to I like, even what they have shared, commented or uploaded, even the reels that have sent by private with the Blends function. From this tab you can answer directly with messages and you also have options to hide your activity or silence that of others if you do not want to be shown, so everything will be voluntary.
For now all this is already active for many people, although as we said, it will arrive progressively, and You must activate it manually because you will not have it automatically, thus avoiding privacy problems, so do not worry if you do not want any of the new tools, you just have to continue using it as always, and ready.
