We have been seeing for a couple of months how the betas of a new version of iOS 18.1 are approaching, which will bring many new features regarding Apple Intelligence, although as we already know, not in all of Europe, so, for residents of countries belonging to the European Union, this version will not be the best one that reaches them.
It is true that there is other operating system versions, such as macOS 15.1which will also be launched on the same day, and which do bring some functions that we can use in all countries, however, others such as iPhone mirroring, although it belongs to the MacBook, cannot be used because it also depends on the iPhone.
iOS 18.1, release date
A little more than a couple of weeks ago, Mark Gurman already indicated a date, however, it was not 100% confirmed, something that, despite not being confirmed today, seems to be on schedule and will be so.
Everything indicates that, after the release this week of beta 7 of iOS 18.1, we will have a final beta for developers next week, possibly on Monday, October 21, being the official version which will be launched for the rest of the users on October 28.
This should be the day it comes out iOS 18.1with all the new features that we have been able to see so far, only with bugs fixed and optimized for all phones, whether they have them available or not. Apple Intelligencesince it will not only depend on your country and whether it is enabled or not, but also on your iPhone, well It is only available from 15 Pro onwards.
If you do not meet both requirements, you will have a new version with few changes, since most of them are oriented towards AI, and, therefore, you will not see those tools reflected.
If you want to try it before anyone else, as we have already said, you can do it with the version for developers, which, despite not being recommended to install, in this case, and being the final version, there should not be major problems, since in principle it will be the that it is released for everyone, and normally it does not give errors, although it is still your responsibility to do so, and Apple does not cover the warranty of devices with this type of betas, so you would have to be careful anyway, even though I am the first of all install them.
Apple had already dropped that it would be in October when they would launch all these new features, however, they wanted to delay it until the last possible day, and except for a last minute surprise, the dates we will see are those, so we only have 10 days left to enjoy it officially.
And you, are you one of those who test the releases before the rest, thanks to the betas, or, on the contrary, do you like to wait for their global date to avoid any scares? Leave us a comment with your opinion, and if you are really looking forward to this version of iOS 18.1, which although it is not usually a highly anticipated version in other years, this one seems to be, due to Apple Intelligence.
