Apple seems to be preparing a start to the year full of news, with multiple launches in the first half of 2025. According to the latest rumors, among the devices on the way are the new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air with M4 chip, the iPad 11, the long-awaited iPhone SE 4, the AirTag 2, and renewed models of the iPad Air.
However, the MacBook Air could get ahead of the rest and arrive sooner than expected.
Apple strategic move
Mark Gurman, a renowned Bloomberg journalist and one of the most reliable sources in the Apple environment, has indicated that the new MacBook Air would be announced “earlier” than the other products scheduled for spring. Although he did not specify a specific date, this suggests that the presentation of the laptops could take place between January and Marchpossibly through a press release on Apple’s website.
The decision to launch the MacBook Air with the M4 chip before other products could be strategic. As this is a minor update, Apple may want to clear the way to focus on more important events, such as the presentation of the iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 in March or April.
The MacBook Air, known for its slim design and versatility, would not receive significant changes to its appearance. The main novelties would focus on the M4 chip integrationperformance improvements and small functional updates, such as the incorporation of Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of Thunderbolt 3, and the possible arrival of the camera with Center Stage, which keeps the user focused on video calls.
