Unlike Windows, where closing a window automatically closes the application, macOS users know that the lifecycle is different. On a Mac, closing a window leaves the active application in the background, still taking up memory. To exit an app, it is generally necessary to use the CMD + Q combination to ensure a complete shutdown. But with a utility called Last Window Quits, everything is simpler. You close the window and don’t think about it anymore.
