After Hades first of the name, it is the turn of the second opus Hades II to appear on Mac via Steam. Comprehensive support made possible by Apple Silicon. A Mac M1 is therefore at least mandatory to explore this adventure.
Hades II comes to Mac
Available in early access since May 6, 2024 on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, the video game Hades II is now available on Mac. The American studio Supergiant Games, behind the game, has launched a new update (Olympic Update) which improves the gameplay but above all which makes the game available via the Steam store on Mac.
Full compatibility thanks to Apple Silicon. It is therefore necessary to have a Mac M1 or later to run the games. Regarding the minimum configuration, you need 10 GB of free space, 8 GB of unified memory and macOS 12 minimum. We still advise you to have macOS 15, the latest version, and 16 GB of unified memory for the smoothest possible experience.
Hades II is an action-RPG roguelike that immerses the player in Greek mythology through dynamic combat and a thrilling story. In this new opus, we play Melinoë, the goddess of the moon and nightmares, in her quest to confront Chronos, the god of time. Interactive dialogues, choices that influence the story as well as a rotation of levels each game to diversify the gameplay.
It takes between 20 and 30 hours of gameplay to complete the main story. Players who want to unlock all the secrets and other side additions will generally exceed 50 hours of gameplay. Hades II is sold at the price of €28.99 on Steam. The first opus, released in September 2020 and also available on Mac, is sold at the price of €24.50. It is also accessible on iOS via Netflix.
