Like every year, Apple launches new devices, from iPhones, Macs, Apple Watches, etc., so it’s normal to see a new MacBook Pro model. In this case, we’re going for the M4 version, meaning the next on the list would be the Pro M5, a great computer that we’re close to discovering.

In the case of this MacBook Pro M5, everything is rumors, because unlike the iPhone, which, for example, is presented around the second week of September, these computers do not have a clear official date, although the approximate deadline is usually met quite well.

MacBook Pro M5 Release and Features

Everything points to this model being presented in the fall of 2025, that is, after the release of the iPhone, possibly around October or November, so yes, we will see it before the end of the year, which could be a good gift for Christmas.

The exterior design is expected to remain unchanged, as the main improvements will be internal. Therefore, we will once again see a model quite similar to that of all these previous years, although logically, with a more powerful and new chip.

The 14-inch and 16-inch models will feature the M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips, respectively. These chips, manufactured using 3-nanometer technology, will utilize an advanced 3D packaging technique called SoIC, which improves electrical performance and thermal management.

That is, we’ll see an increase in speed, greater energy efficiency, and improvements in handling artificial intelligence and machine learning tasks, so we could once again be looking at the most powerful model with the best battery life on the market. No price increase compared to the current M4 is expected, which would be quite positive.

Improvements for the 2026 MacBook

Apple is developing a MacBook Pro with an OLED display, which is the device many are eagerly awaiting. It is expected to be released in 2026, bringing with it notable improvements in image quality. OLED technology will provide superior brightness, sharper contrasts thanks to deep blacks, and greater energy efficiency. Additionally, the 2026 model could include a 5G modem, something new for Macs, and is rumored to incorporate Apple’s next-generation 2-nanometer chip.

This leads us to think that waiting another year and purchasing the 2026 model may be a better option than getting this M5, since, despite having a more powerful chip, logically, it does not bring with it changes as relevant as we can see in the next period, which will probably no longer maintain the same cost, since these types of screens have a higher price, which will be reflected for the end user, and which will mark that generational difference, so we do expect them to go up somewhat.

And you, are you one of those who need to upgrade as soon as something new comes out, or will you wait for this improved MacBook Pro M6, featuring a new OLED display and 2-nanometer chip? Leave us a comment with your thoughts on the matter.
