Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.
Robin Hood, prince of thieves (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)
In 1193, while King Richard the Lionheart was held prisoner by the Austrians, Robin of Locksley returned to England after escaping a dungeon in the Holy Land, where the Crusades had taken him. He is not alone: at his side, Azeem, a Moor whom he freed and who swore loyalty to him.
But upon his return, Robin discovers a kingdom in chaos. His lands have been reduced to ashes, and the Sheriff of Nottingham, who has become a tyrant, imposes his law with violence, terrorizing the inhabitants. Wanted and accused of treason, Robin takes refuge in Sherwood Forest.
Now is the time to rewatch this film with Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.
The Goonies (6ter, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the synopsis proposed by our colleagues of Allociné :
Astoria is a modest and peaceful port city on the West Coast. Too peaceful for the liking of its young inhabitants… “Nothing ever happens here,” one of them sighed melancholy one day. Mickey Walsh, thirteen years old, had just uttered one of those fateful sentences which sometimes herald the strangest, craziest and most amusing adventures.
If you’re spending time with your family, it’s probably the perfect time to rewatch this gem of 80s cinema.
The green line (TF1, 11:35 p.m.)
It is 1935 in a prison in the South of the United States. A guard develops a touching and atypical relationship with an inmate who has a magical and miraculous gift. It would be a shame to tell you more and we’ll let you discover the rest.
Either way, you have to see this nugget from Frank Darabont who wonderfully adapts Stephen King’s novel. Special mention to Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan who burst onto the screen in their respective roles.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular King (France 2, 9:10 p.m.), The last emperor (Arte, 9 p.m.), and The Minions (TFX, 8:55 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
