We told you about it this morning, with an unprecedented confidence from an Apple Store, the new M4 Macs will be launched next November. This is precisely what Mark Gurman has just confirmed. The Bloomberg journalist specified the release date in his latest Sunday letter “Power On”. He also mentioned the iPad mini 7 and other products coming in early 2025.
The first M4 Macs are getting closer
According to our colleagueafter the keynote scheduled for the end of October, the products could be launched on November 1st. This corroborates our information this morning about.
New this fall include the lower-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, the higher-end 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and M4 Max, the new iMac with M4, the new redesigned Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro, as well as a new iPad mini 7.
- MacBook Pro : The 14 and 16-inch models should receive the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. No major design changes are expected before 2026, but these new chips promise a significant jump in performance.
- iMac : A new iMac with the M4 chip is also expected. Here again, no notable design change, but one question remains: will Apple finally replace the Lightning port with USB-C on its Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad accessories?
- Mac mini : The Mac mini could finally see a redesign after several years without modifications. It would be almost as small as an Apple TV and would abandon USB-A ports in favor of fully USB-C connectivity.
- iPad mini 7 : the small tablet would be equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, the same as that of the iPhone 15, offering a clear improvement in performance compared to the A15 chip of the current model. In addition to this, rumors point to the addition of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Interestingly, Gurman no longer mentions the lowest-end iPad 11, it’s expected to arrive later. This makes sense given that other analysts have indicated that this product won’t launch until early next year.
The next Apple products in 2025
Gurman also says to expect the following products to launch in the first half of 2025:
The analyst specifies that the new Mac Studio and Mac Pros are being developed with the M4 SoC, but that they will be delivered during the second half of the year, with the iPhone 17 in particular. In the process, Apple could even launch the first Mac and iPad M5. This is all happening so quickly, too quickly perhaps…
