It is a terminal that promises to change everything, bringing the premium experience to Apple’s most affordable range. Well, now we know what it would be called, if true, and this may be important.
The iPhone SE 4, scheduled for March-April 2025, continues to generate high expectations. According to the latest leaks, it could be launched under the name iPhone 16E. If this change is confirmed, it would mark an unexpected turn in the branding strategy of the company, which is not used to doing this type of thing.
The name “iPhone 16E” was first mentioned in a December 13 post by Fixed Focus Digitala Chinese account with more than two million followers on Weibo. More recently, the well-known leaker Majin Buon platform X (formerly Twitter), supported this theory, ensuring that its source also pointed towards that name.
What still raises doubts is the way in which Apple will present this “16E”. Will you use a capital “E”? Will it be an iPhone 16e model, or perhaps an iPhone 16 with a more visual design, like an “E” enclosed in a square? There is a lot of speculation and no certainty, and it is not ruled out that everything is a strategy to mislead and Apple finally maintains the “SE”.
In any case, these rumors must be taken with a grain of salt. Although Fixed Focus Digital was correct in teasing the “Desert Titanium” shade of the iPhone 16 Pro, its track record with Apple-related predictions is not consistent.

The alleged iPhone 16E could adopt a design very similar to the iPhone 14, which means a significant jump compared to the classic look of the current iPhone SE, based on the iPhone 8. The most notable features of this model include:

The current iPhone SE, introduced in March 2022, remains one of Apple’s most affordable models, with a starting price of $429 in the United States.
