What better way to unveil a flagship product than CES 2025, which has just started in Las Vegas? This time, it’s Samsung that’s doing it with its new The Frame Pro television which is due out in the spring. The Tech giant is improving its popular The Frame model by addressing key customer concerns. Here’s everything you need to know.
A significant improvement in brightness
If you are not familiar with this first version, know that The Frame TV can be transformed into a real work of art once it is turned off. Users therefore particularly appreciate this aspect which allows them to furnish their interior by combining business with pleasure. However, certain recurring criticisms have been heard. In terms of characteristics, this model also suffers a little from the competition.
Aware of its limitations, Samsung has therefore decided to rectify the situation with this version of The Frame Pro. Among the main new features to remember, we can cite the arrival of Mini LED, which should notably make it possible to improve contrast, brightness, and even black levels compared to its predecessor.
As noted The Vergehowever, it is a somewhat special Mini LED located at the bottom of the screen. The South Korean firm claims that this will allow a level of local dimming, but this will have to be verified in use.
An increase in refresh rate
The Frame Pro also benefits from a completely wireless connection except of course the power cord. Samsung also specifies that this connectivity works over a distance of ten meters, which can prove very useful in certain cases.
Finally, and this is anything but a detail, The Frame Pro has a better maximum refresh rate (144 Hz compared to 120 Hz for the Frame). Enough to ensure smoother visuals than in the past on this television which will not, however, benefit from Dolby Vision support.
We must add to these improvements the arrival of AI which will make it possible to go deeper into certain scenes by checking, for example, information on certain actors or on feature films.
There remains a major question: what will be the price of this technological gem? It is impossible to answer at present, Samsung will communicate on this subject next spring during its launch. Given these first elements, would you be tempted by this television? Tell us in the comments.
