Samsung’s all-new Smart Monitor M9 (model M90SF) has everything to please Apple customers. The one that has been sporting a design similar to that of the iMac for several years has just reached a milestone. Taking advantage of CES 2025, the Korean giant announces an improved version of its Smart Monitor, notably thanks to revolutionary artificial intelligence functions that enrich entertainment and interactivity by optimizing the display and offering intelligent searches. But also via the transition to an OLED panel.
The M9 Smart Monitor
The first of its kind to incorporate AI, the Samsung M9 features the AI Picture Optimizer which analyzes input signals to identify the type of content (games, videos or productivity apps) and automatically adjusts display settings to ensure an optimal viewing experience. For gamers, AI recognizes the genre of the current game and finely adjusts image settings for an optimal, immersive gaming experience tailored to each style.
Additionally, the M8 successor is equipped with the 4K AI Upscaling Pro feature which uses advanced AI processing and neural networks to transform low-resolution content into 4K quality. This function examines available input signals and image data to generate clear, detailed images, regardless of the initial resolution.
These intelligent, personalized capabilities are enhanced by a 32-inch 4K OLED display with VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 certification for vibrant colors and precise details. Better, the Smart Monitor M9 offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and 4K definition. Although Samsung has not detailed everything, it is a safe bet that the connectivity is made up of HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, as well as Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) sockets.
Its elegant design (thanks to the Apple inspiration) with the base Easy Setup allows for effortless workspace setup, while an integrated 4K camera makes this monitor versatile in various usage contexts. A great competitor to the Apple Studio Display!
Expect a price under 1,000 euros.
