Apple is preparing an iPhone 17 Air for September 2025 and could be overtaken by Samsung which has a similar idea. The South Korean company is preparing a Galaxy S 25 Slim which also relies on its finesse as a selling point.
A future new duel: Galaxy S 25 Slim VS iPhone 17 Air
For 2025, the rumor makes us understand that Apple would have the idea of replacing the iPhone 17 Plus with a new iPhone 17 Air. A model wedged between the standard version and the Pro version and which would have as a major advantage its finesse. Disappointed by sales of the iPhone mini and of the iPhone PlusApple would try a third approach to boost its sales and turnover.
An idea that would not have fallen on deaf ears, since we learned that Samsung would also have a similar desire for its next Galaxy S 25. In addition to the models Standard, More And UltraSamsung would add a fourth version, a “Galaxy S 25 Slim”. An equivalent of the iPhone 17 Air, but under Android. Not sure that this pleases the boss of Samsung, who recently criticized his teams for copying Apple too much.
Smartprix has discovered a new reference which fits digitally into the Galaxy S 25 range. A priori, it would be placed between the Galaxy S 25 Plus and the Galaxy S 25 Ultra. A model which should therefore have powerful characteristics in addition to having the thinnest design in the range. Just like the iPhone 17 Air.
- SM-931 (Galaxy S 25)
- SM-936 (Galaxy S 25 Plus)
- SM-937 (Galaxy S 25 Slim)
- SM-938 (Galaxy S 25 Ultra)
Powerful features, but not for everyone… Despite the arrival of this new model, Samsung would still show American favoritism with an exclusive Snapdragon chip while the European models would still be on Exynos. A less powerful processor for a smartphone at the same price, thank you Samsung…
The Galaxy S 25 are planned for the second quarter of 2025. An official release between April and May is no longer in doubt. If both the Galaxy S 25 Slim and the iPhone 17 Air are on the market, it will be interesting to compare them to see which one is more attractive. We already have our little idea…
