Multiplayer on mobile works similarly to other platforms, although there is no farm discovery feature. For the best experience, it is recommended to use a high-end mobile device connected to a local Wi-Fi network (or an Ethernet cable via the USB-C port for example), especially when connecting to a hosted farm on PC.
How to access multiplayer mode?
Access to multiplayer mode is not immediately visible in the mobile application. To activate it, players must unlock it using a “secret” code on the start screen, a sort of Konami code, older players will understand.
By pressing the leaves around the “Stardew Valley” logo in this order — up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← →) — followed by the “?” in the lower right corner, the “Coop” button will appear.
