Leaks of the Motorola Razr 70 – Razr 2026 in the US market – have intensified in recent weeks. Quality images are already circulating that show the foldable in up to four different finishes, all under Motorola's usual collaboration with Pantone: Sparkling Green with carbon fiber texture, Hematite with cloth-like finish, Violet Ice, and a fourth color that is not yet confirmed. The direction is clear: prioritize how the phone feels in your hand as much as how it looks.

The design, however, does not bring any big surprises. The Razr 70 is barely visually distinguishable from its predecessor, the Razr 60, and everything indicates that Motorola has done it consciously: if something works, it's better not to touch it too much. The specifications that have emerged speak of a folding screen of 6.9 inches (1080 × 2640 px), a 3.63-inch exterior screen, 32-megapixel camera for selfies and a battery of 4,500 mAh. The most advanced models would arrive with up to 18 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

A launch that could arrive sooner than expected

Everything points to the second quarter of 2026, possibly April or May. Motorola has reasons not to delay: the brand is expanding the Android 17 beta program to more devices, including some high-end ones like the Razr 60 Ultra, suggesting a serious effort to improve its software update history, which has been one of its Achilles heels for years.

The price will be decisive. If Motorola manages to keep the Razr 70 around the 699 dollars from its predecessoryou have many options to make life difficult for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is much more expensive. If the price goes above $800, the picture changes. In summary, the Razr 70 aims to be a solid and fuss-free evolution: better finish, more memory and a more interesting color palette than the competition, but without the generation leap that some expected.

Do you think Motorola should take more risks with the Razr's design or does it make sense to continue polishing a formula that already works?
