Another strong point is that it is not only a screen, but also a Thunderbolt hub. You connect the laptop with a single cable and that's it: image, data and charging at the same time. Of course, it is not a cheap whim. The price is around $2,800so it is clearly not aimed at the average user (and even less so if you are a gamer and just want to play). It is more for professionals, companies, people who spend the day in front of the computer and want a beastly, clean and uncomplicated configuration, or, simply, who have enough money and don't mind spending it on something like that. In Spain we could see it exceed 3,000 euros, depending on how they end up carrying out the currency conversion, so we will be attentive to it when it is officially released.
In short, Dell has released an exaggerated monitor, yes, but with sense (at least for many users looking for something specific). One of those products that are not for everyone, but if they fit the way you work, they can completely change your desktop… and probably make you never want to use two screens again.
