This company is Yoshi Mobility, which has just launched its traveling supply service. No need to look for a charging station or wait for a space to become available: their supercharger on wheels comes directly to the user. This approach targets professionals and individuals, particularly in areas where infrastructure is slow to be established.
Indeed, although the United States is a central market for EV manufacturers (mainly Chinese, like the giant BYD) and they invest massively there, the public charging infrastructure remains a sticking point for many users.
A strategic evolution towards electromobility
Yoshi Mobility was born in Nashville, capital of Tennessee, in 2016. Basically, it simply offered a home fuel delivery service. It was a few years later, in November 2024, that the firm made a decisive shift.
By selling its fuel division to EZFill Holdings, she affirms her desire to devote herself fully to three areas : traveling electric charging, virtual technical inspections for partners such as Uber and Turo (the largest car-sharing platform in the world), as well as preventive maintenance on site.
A supercharger on four wheels
To ensure efficient service, Yoshi Mobility has developed a 240 kW DC mobile charger, capable of successively powering several vehicles during the same tour. Deployed on two GM BrightDrop Zevo 600 vansan electric vehicle developed by General Motors, this unique system of its kind is already on American roads in several states (see photo below).
Dan Hunter, director of the electric vehicle division and co-founder of the company, specifies: “ We have identified among our customers a need for convenient daily charging, reliable private charging networks and suitable infrastructure to support their fleets in their electric transition “.
With funding of $60 millionsupported by giants like GM Ventures, Bridgestone and ExxonMobil, Yoshi Mobility is currently deploying its services to large fleets consuming up to 1 Mw every day. Of course, she does not intend to be satisfied with her only two vans and intends to add other vehicles to its fleet in the coming months. When will such a service arrive in France?
- Yoshi Mobility has developed a 240 kW traveling supercharger, recharging EVs directly where they are.

- Supported by major investors, Yoshi will expand and add new vans to its fleet.
