After a busy week with the release of version 1.4 of Wuthering Waves, Kuro Games continues with the announcement of an even more ambitious version 2.0, which will be deployed on mobile obviously, but also on PS5. Yes, the open-world action-RPG game is preparing for its launch on Sony’s latest console.
Wuthering Waves expands its empire
Let’s take this opportunity to recall the new features of version 1.4, entitled “When the night rings”:

- Camellya, a 5-star Havoc-type resonator, wielding a saber.
- Lumi, a 4-star Electro-type resonator, with a sword.
- New Weapons:
- Sharp Spring, a 5-star weapon (saber).
- Anchor of the Sleeper, a 4-star event weapon (saber).

- Somnium Labyrinth: An exploration event in the dream world of Somnoire.
- Gifts of Dreams: A 7-day login event.
- The Phantom Kingdom: Introduction of the new content “Fantasy Clusters”.
- Beyond the Waves: Time-limited exploration quests.
- Double-Wrap Fighters: A recurring challenge event.
- Tactical Analogue II: A limited-time combat challenge.
- Ragunna Flash Sales! : A Pioneer Association event.
- Events with double rewards like Brilliant Accord and Explore the Sonoras.
- New Story:
- A new companion quest titled “Stars of Forking Paths” focused on Camellya.
In addition to the content update, Wuthering Waves was nominated for Best Mobile Game at the Game Awards 2024.
But most importantly, along with this recognition, Kuro Games revealed that version 2.0 will not only expand the game’s universe, but also make its way to the PlayStation 5, marking its console debut and introducing the game to a wider audience .

Wuthering Waves has attracted an audience loving titles like Genshin Impact for its deep combat mechanics, immersive environments, and gripping storyline, all set on the planet Solaris-3, which is divided into six nations.
As the current story arc, centered on Huanglong, draws to a close, version 2.0 will introduce players to Rinascita, a new region that will enrich the story and expand the gameplay experience.
