Summary of notifications and more news

As for notifications, the Notification Summary feature, which is part of Apple Intelligence, has received a small aesthetic update. Now, when a stack of notifications is displayed on the lock screen with a number indicating the number of alerts, this number will take on the color of the wallpaper, blending in better.

With this new beta, Apple Music includes the ability to share songs directly to TikTok. The process is simple: just tap on “Share song” and select TikTok from the list of available applications.

For those who have been using iOS 18.1 since before the launch of the Apple Watch Series 10, beta 6 finally introduces support for the sleep apnea detection and breathing problems during rest. After installing the update, users can activate sleep apnea alerts in the Health app, looking for the Respiratory disorders option.

It should be noted that alerts will not be activated until the Apple Watch has collected at least 10 days of respiratory disturbance data. The information will be analyzed every 30 days, at which time a notification will be sent if potential sleep apnea issues are detected.

In the Wallet app, Apple Card users who have opted to receive their Daily Cash in a savings account will no longer see their account balance on the main card screen. Now, you must tap on the savings button to check the current balance. This update simplifies the interface and reduces the amount of information immediately visible. Let’s remember that in Spain we still do not have this card available.

On iPhone 16, the camera control now shows a bar below the options when you hold it, possibly indicating more settings. Additionally, with the release of iOS 18.1, Apple has added splash screens to highlight Apple Intelligence features in apps like Mail and the App Store.

According to renowned journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple plans to release the final version of iOS 18.1 on Monday October 28, 2024just in time for new fall products and before the holiday shopping season.
