macos sequoia iconAlong with iOS 18.1, Apple rolled out macOS Sequoia 15.1.1, a minor update to its latest operating system for Mac. This version arrives three weeks after the launch of macOS Sequoia 15.1 which introduced Apple Intelligence.

A version for security

Mac users can install the update via the Software Update section in System Settings.

Apple’s release notes highlight that macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 focuses on fixing important security vulnerabilities, making it a recommended update for all users.

Specifically, like in iOS 18.1.1 and iPadOS 18.1.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 fixes two critical vulnerabilities in JavaScriptCore And WebKitlikely to have been exploited by malicious people.

These vulnerabilities allow arbitrary code execution or cross-site scripting attacks via dangerous web content. Although Intel-based Macs appear to be the most affected, other devices with Apple Silicon chip could also be vulnerable due to the same security flaws.
